Christmas 2018

Christmas 2018 was kind of spread out for us. We finished doing some of our traditions prior too Christmas, like gingerbread houses with Babcia! My family all flew to Chicago a few days before Christmas to visit my sister there and be there for when she had her baby, Joaquin! (She had him December 23 at 12:41 am)! We celebrated with my family when they came back on New Years Eve. We missed my sister, Garret and Joaquin, but we understand why they couldn’t be here to celebrate! We didn’t fly to Chicago so we celebrated Christmas Eve and Christmas day with Andrew’s family and then my grandparents as well!

On Christmas Eve Anderson and I made homemade Mac n Cheese, cookies, and rice crispy treats with Grandma Barb. With the sous chef being Grandpa Dave on the couch overseeing it all!

By afternoon, we celebrate a Polish Christmas with Andrew’s family. We went to his parents house and we all had a blast. First we played outside before it became dark, then dinner (mmhm pierogis!), and then we opened presents and all hung out! We all agreed it felt like a old fashion Christmas Eve. Where all the cousins and family are playing, none of us had phones out or TV shows going, we all just came up with things to do together. We played with Bill and Yvonne’s new puppy Charlie, the girls braided each others hair, Andrew and Bela put together a dance routine that they performed for us and we got to hear our cousin Ava’s beautiful voice as she sang us a few songs!

Christmas morning was spent as a family at our house, and then we got together with the family in town for lunch.

On New Years Eve we celebrated Christmas with my family.

I love Christmas and the traditions we share. I missed my sister and her husband a lot as well as meeting their new baby, but I am so happy for them and send all my love.
